SENA was born in 1982, in Istanbul. She graduated from University of the arts London, Central Saint Martins,BA Graphic Arts and Design Department in 2006. She worked on socially responsible art projects and exhibited her work in various areas of England and Istanbul. She was one of the two creators of “Tershane” project that started in 2006. Her solo shows at x-ist were “2” (2009), “3 Angle” (2010) and “Fantastic 4” (2011). She also took place in Contemporary Istanbul ’06, 07, 08, 09, 10 & 11, Start-2009 (14th European Contemporary Art Fair, Strasbourg, France), VIP Art Fair 2012, Art Dubai 2012 and SCOPE Basel 2012 fairs. She took part in Contemporary Istanbul 2013 and Bashibazouk Vol.II at Empire Project Gallery 21 November 2013.Her work “Vulva” took place at Sotheby’s London, At the Crossroads 2:Contemporary art from Istanbul to Kabul show.She had her 5th solo exhibition “5” at Empire Project Gallery on 2014 November.Later she participated Contemporary Istanbul 2014 with The Booklab Project.On 2015 as a member of “Signs of the times”project her work took place at the Pi artworks gallery Istanbul.She had her 6th solo show “dowry”at The Empire Project,Istanbul at 2016 and also 1st overseas solo show at New York,Sleep Center.Her works took place in many groupshows including ‘The Clandestine Life of Objects’ at Doplapdere Evliyagil in 2018.
Her 7th solo show ‘Dip’ curated by Beral Madra took place at Müze Evliyagil, Istanbul 2019 December.Sena lives and creates in Istanbul.
